The art of walking

Poet Pepper Giardino once wrote, "Walking is good for solving problems - it's like the feet are little psychiatrists." It makes sense. I have experienced few obstacles that haven't softened or dissolved altogether after an early morning stroll along the Bruce Trail. Those who regularly take extended walks and hikes are some of the happiest people I know.

The Hamilton Hikers site was created to give Hamiltonians an internet resource for finding good walking trails, organizing group hikes, and hopefully developing new friendships. Some say that the web and nature aren't compatible: let's have fun proving them wrong.
